Hello and welcome! I’m Amanda- I'm a wife, mom of three beautiful kiddos, and I am passionate about supporting families during the initial 3 months postpartum, also known as the 4th trimester.

I have always loved babies, and when I became a mom myself, I developed a deep love and appreciation for moms and everything parents go through in the journey of parenthood. Parenting is amazing and joyful and beautiful, but it's also hard and scary at times, and there are a lot of things parents aren't fully prepared for when they bring home a newborn. Changing dynamics, learning how to parent together, information overload about what is best for baby, shifting hormones, and sleepless nights can bring on a lot of stress for new parents.

When my friends had babies, I was always one to show up with a home cooked meal and offer a helpful hand wherever I could. I remember thinking to myself that it would be amazing to be able offer something like this for families during this sensitive and vulnerable time.  Fast forward to when I attended the annual CAPPA conference for birth professionals a few years ago. I learned about postpartum doulas and the amazing support and care they provide and I just knew this profession was for me.

What exactly does a postpartum doula do? I'm glad you asked. My support looks different for every family because I want to customize it to your specific needs. Consider me the support system and helping hand for postpartum planning and care. Through evidence-based information, I help parents learn about their baby and develop their own parenting style. I offer instruction and assistance. I encourage mom to rest so she can heal, and I offer nutrition and hydration so she feels her best. I run errands, if needed, and perform household tasks like light cleaning, meal prep and laundry to keep the home running while mom and baby bond. I also provide emotional support and resources. Changing the way our society views the 4th trimester happens one mom and one family at a time. My goal is to help relieve your stress so you can fully heal, feel loved and supported, and enjoy this beautiful life you've created.

Client testimonial:

“I can’t say enough positive things about Amanda. She came in and got to work. I believe that Amanda kept me from developing postpartum depression and anxiety, because she took the heavy load of motherhood off my shoulders 3 days a week. You can’t even imagine how sleep deprivation, healing from birth, and struggling with breastfeeding takes a toll on you until you’re living it. I wish I had the support from Amanda in 2017 when my first was born. I struggled. I didn’t know how to ask for help. I didn’t know this kind of help existed. If we have another baby, we will 100% hire Amanda again!
