About Hannah

Hey my name is Hannah! I am a wife and a mother of four (plus a fur baby). My three bonus sons made me a mother, and I have one biological daughter. I began my doula journey in 2017, but birth has been my passion long before that. When I'm not doing birth work, I enjoy spending time with my family, kickboxing, and getting out in nature.

I had began school to become a nurse midwife, but I was tired of working menial jobs while in school. My friend encouraged me to  pursue becoming a doula while I finished my degree. I reluctantly agreed thinking this job would never interest me. I could not have been more wrong...

I attended my friends birth as her "doula" really not knowing what that meant at the time. Her birth was easy, but she was a young first time mom and scared. She had SIX family members in the delivery room. As soon as her baby started crowning everyone migrated from the head of the bed to the foot of the bed to see the baby. I knew right then, that I wanted to be a doula. Everyone lost focus on mom, and she needed support. She had never gone through this before, she did not know what the next steps were, she was being transformed, and needed someone to help her through this. I knew that someone needed to mother the mother.

I immediately stopped my courses, and jumped into doula work. I trained with DONA International in 2018, and certified in 2020. I also retrained and certified with ProDoula in 2024. I love serving my community, and helping ALL birthing people have the empowering and positive birth experience they desire. I strongly believe that everyone deserves a doula, but I have a special place in my heart for the unconventional birthing person whether you are transgender, same sex, a mom wanting to bless another family with a child, a surrogate, or planning a belly birth (cesarean).

My goal is to educate you, so you are comfortable enough to critically think, ask questions, and speak your wishes. You are so strong and capable of great things. This is your body, your baby, and your birth! Own It!

Hannah’s Philosophy on Birth

Birth is powerful, raw, sometimes very very messy, and sometimes doesn’t look like what we planned, but it is always beautiful and transformative. It does not need to be a scary and sterile medical event. Our bodies know how to birth, and we have been given the power to bring our babies earth side. It is important to trust the process and give our body and baby time to work together in harmony.

Slowly but surely, together, we will change how our society views childbirth. I truly believe that if a birthing person, and their team is educated they will have the confidence to make solid decisions during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum periods.

Client testimonial

"We couldn’t have achieved my ideal dream birth if it weren’t for Hannah. Not only did she teach us coping skills we really needed, she was a consistent stream of encouragement and affirmation when I most needed it. She went above and beyond to make sure we were educated in all of our options before, during, and after the birth of our first child." -Katie E. clien
