About Suzanne
Suzanne is offering gentle and personalized postpartum care. She has 10 years of formal newborn care experience and intimately knows the joys and trials of the fourth trimester after experiencing it herself six times. She is eager and ready to meet your needs, whatever they may be. In addition, Suzanne offers meal services for families looking to make the transition with a new baby even smoother by taking care of the stress of a warm and nutritious meal. She loves cooking and says feeding people is "her love language." In her spare time, Suzanne loves cooking and eating with her family, caring for her chickens, doing puzzles and playing cards with her sister, and serving in the nursery at her church.
Hey there! My name is Suzanne Koch. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Chris. Together we have six beautiful children and two heavenly babies. Birth and babies have always been familiar to me. My mother was a homebirth assistant when I was young, and my parents were very active in pushing to educate the community and help allow homebirth midwives to be legal in the 90s. As a young adult, I considered pursuing nursing but fell in love with emergency medicine. I worked as an EMT for the DeKalb County 911 system for 2 years until we had our first daughter, and I was blessed to become a stay-at-home mother. I have had three hospital births and three home births. I genuinely find so much joy in caring for others and feel that as I age, the pull to use my life experiences to serve others grows stronger. My postpartum experiences were full of joy, and I believe the first two weeks after a baby is born can only be described as pure magic. I sincerely desire to help other mothers experience the same postpartum bliss I remember fondly. In our modern culture, we are taught that birth is scary and postpartum is hard. While those things can be accurate, it is my calling to impact families so that they have a more rewarding experience. If we, as women and mothers, come together to support one another and share our struggles, joys, and the tools to make motherhood more manageable, what a wonderful world it would be. Serving your family during such a special time would be an honor.
