She is passionate about continuing education, and teaching families through Evidence Based Birth Childbirth Education.

I am Ziah McKinney, a Full Spectrum Doula certified with Birthing Advocacy Doula Training, which means I support the entirety of experiences with reproductive systems, and I have done everything from accompanying clients to IVF/fertility treatments to supporting them postpartum, and anything in between. I specialize in supporting Disabled, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC birthing people. I am also a professional Patient Advocate who specializes in helping people prepare for the

As a Birth Doula I focus on empowering the birthing person and their family so that they can be confident in communicating their choices to their care providers. I can provide recipe support for anyone looking for ways to add nutritional variety to their diet during pregnancy and postpartum, especially if they have food allergies. As a massage therapist and movement professional, I love providing physical and movement support during labor.

My postpartum offerings include infant feeding support, menu and light meal support for the family, light housework, baby sign language instruction, baby massage instruction, and bone closing massage. I also specialize in helping Disabled families set up their home for easier care of their new infant.

I am also an Evidence Based Birth Childbirth Education Instructor, in person and virtual, and teach Birth Dance classes that support optimal fetal positioning to prepare for birth and labor. I was a Massage Therapist and professional touring Bellydancer for 30 years, and a Patient Advocate for over 10 years. In 2018 I became a Birth Doula, and steadily added a wider range of support by completing my Birthing Advocacy Doula Training/BADT Full Spectrum Doula Certification, and did training with Dancing for Birth™, trans birth support with Trystan Angel Reese, the Birth and Disability course with Stefanie Lyn Kaufman-Mthimkhulu of Project LETS, and 150+ hours of ECHOs through the Ehlers Danlos Society (my daughter and I both have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome).

I’m a mom of a college kid, wife, homesteader, seamstress, and bellydance instructor, and I love studying history.
